- Roque Nublo
Our first hotspot is Roque Nublo, one of the island's most recognizable landmarks. Located in the heart of Gran Canaria, this impressive boulder offers fantastic views of the sunrise. Prepare for a bit of a hike, but trust me, the climb is worth it!
- Pico de las Nieves
Pico de las Nieves is the highest peak in Gran Canaria and another great spot to watch the sunrise. Imagine you are 1,949 meters above sea level and the first rays of sun light up the sky – simply magical! Don't forget to bring warm clothes as it can get quite chilly up here.
- Maspaloma's dunes
Do you want to feel sand between your toes while enjoying the sunrise? Then the Maspalomas dunes are just right for you. The golden light of the rising sun stretching across the sand dunes is a sight not to be missed. And best of all: after sunrise you can jump straight into the sea and enjoy the day on the beach!
- Mirador del Balcon
The Mirador del Balcon on the west coast of Gran Canaria is another insider tip for sunrise fans. Here you can admire the sunrise over the Atlantic and hear the sound of the waves. Pack your camera because this place also offers you the opportunity to take great photos of the cliffs and the sea.
- Puerto de Mogan
Last but not least, I would like to recommend the charming port of Puerto de Mogán. Here you can enjoy the sunrise over the sea and the idyllic fishing boats. After you have experienced this wonderful moment, you can stroll through the small streets and have breakfast in one of the numerous cafes.
