Cape Verde
The Cape Verde Islands are an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, northwest of Africa. They belong to Portugal and are known for their breathtaking scenery of mountains, forests and beaches.
The largest island of Cape Verde is Santiago and is also home to the international airport. Santiago is the capital of Cape Verde and is home to numerous museums, theaters and shopping streets. One of the sights of the city is the Cathedral of Santiago, built in the 16th century.
Another well-known place on Santiago is the resort of Praia in the south of the island. Praia is known for its long sandy beaches and crystal clear water, which invites you to swim and do water sports. Also near Praia is the Parque Natural de Serra Malagueta, a natural park known for its dense laurel forests.
Cape Verde also offers many cultural events and festivals, such as the music festival "Festa da Música" in June and the arts festival "Festa da Cultura" in September.
All in all, Cape Verde offers a variety of activities and sights that are suitable for both beach and culture vacationers. So if you want to spend a varied holiday, Cape Verde is the place for you.
